Membership in the Norfolk & Portsmouth Bar Association is open to licensed attorneys, law students, legal administrators, and the local military legal community.

The Norfolk & Portsmouth Bar Association has served the legal profession and community since 1900, and we cordially invite you to actively support this continuing tradition.

An NPBA Professional Membership gives you the opportunity to:

• Meet fellow members of the Association and judges of this jurisdiction through business and social meetings;
• Gain recognition within your profession by serving on decision making committees*;
• Receive the bimonthly Bar Bulletin, with news of professional interest
• Participate in the Young Lawyers Section**; and
• Attend all of the NPBA's Continuing Legal Education Seminars (excluding the Bench Bar Conference) at no additional cost.

We encourage you to join and take advantage of the opportunities provided by our Association to enrich your professional career and to work through the committees to improve our profession.

*Please note that Law Student Members are not eligible for committee participation.

**Members eligible for the Young Lawyers Section are age 36 and younger or have been practicing for five years or less.
