Why Join NPBA?

NPBA Membership Benefits

Mentorship

The mentorship program offered by NPBA is designed to connect newer attorneys with more experienced counsel.

We use a structured approach to mentorship that allows for a more meaningful and effective professional development experience for both parties involved.

Networking

Attending business and social meetings throughout the year provides a valuable opportunity to network with attorneys from different practice areas and regions in Tidewater.

These meetings offer a platform to exchange ideas, share experiences, and gain insights into various legal fields.

Free Lunch

NPBA organizes six free luncheons every year. The topics covered are diverse, ranging from discussions within the legal industry to issues relevant to the Tidewater community. By offering these free luncheons, NPBA aims to not only educate and inform its members but also foster a sense of community among legal professionals in the area.

Free Continuing Legal Education (CLE)

NPBA members can earn a minimum of 12 CLE credits, including 2 Ethics credits, through high-quality seminars.

Six of the CLE seminars are one-hour long and are held after lunch, allowing members to attend without any additional cost.

For over 25 years, the NPBA has brought the best education topics, networking opportunities, and CLE credits to the annual Bench Bar Conference.

The one-day conference features high quality presentations by judges, Virginia delegates, attorneys, and more.

Awards Programs

Prestigious awards are presented each year to NPBA members who distinguish themselves with outstanding achievements recognized by these highly revered awards: The Eggleston/I’Anson Professionalism Award, Hoffman Community Service Award, and Liberty Bell Award.
